Congratulations on your admission to Claremont Graduate University!
We would like to formally invite you to our Admitted Students Weekend, happening in-person on our campus in the “City of Trees and PhDs” — Claremont, California — from April 13-15, 2023.
The event will kick off on Thursday with our evening President’s Reception for Admitted Students, followed on Friday by a showcase of our current students’ work during the Realizing Equity Research Symposium and Kravis Concept Plan Competition.
Saturday will feature our premier event, Spring Preview – faculty-led class preview sessions where you can experience our engaging classroom culture. The day will also include a welcome breakfast, campus tours, and the opportunity to connect with our campus resources and community.

President’s Reception
Thursday, April 13 | 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Claremont Graduate University President Len Jessup invites you and your guest to his residence for our annual President’s Reception for admitted students. Join CGU faculty, staff, and your fellow admitted students for this mix and mingle event as we celebrate your admission to CGU over drinks and hors d’oeuvres. We look forward to honoring you and your achievement at this event.
Realizing Equity Research Symposium
Friday, April 14 | 9:00Am – 12:00pm
CGU’s annual Realizing Equity Symposium showcases research for positive social transformation from students committed to scholarship in equity and justice. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about how CGU students are advancing research on equity and justice, across all academic disciplines.
This year’s Symposium is being presented online. Spring Preview attendees can choose to either attend the webinar on their own, or attend an on-campus screening.
Kravis Concept Plan Competition
Friday, April 14 | 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Students and alumni of The Claremont Colleges pitch their plans to a panel of experienced judges for a chance to win up to $10,000 in cash prizes and a shot at bringing their venture to life. Join Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker School of Management in observing the final round of this exciting annual competition.
Spring Preview
Saturday, April 15 | 9:00am – 1:00pm
Our premiere event, Spring Preview, is for prospective and admitted students to get a peek at what life is like at Claremont Graduate University. Starting at 9:00am, breakfast will be offered, and students will have the chance to mingle with CGU faculty, staff, and current students, as well as discovering the opportunities offered by different on-campus resources. From 10:30am until noon, our esteemed faculty will offer class preview sessions across a wide variety of disciplines. Students will have the opportunity to register for the class preview of their choice. Finally, if you haven’t already, take some time to connect with your admissions representative or take a campus tour. We encourage you to check out the Claremont Village for lunch afterwards!
