Step 1: Reserve Your Seat

Confirm your intent to enroll at Claremont Graduate University by submitting your non-refundable tuition deposit payment.

International Students: Visit the International Students community to see additional requirements.

Step 2: Maximize Your Financial Aid

Follow our Financial Aid Action Plan to maximize your opportunities.

Step 3: New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation details for summer and fall 2024 is forthcoming.

Step 4: Get Ready to Register

After you submit your tuition deposit, you will be contacted by your academic department with information about academic advising and course registration. Also, visit www.cgu.edu/calendars for important dates and deadlines.

Step 5: Visit Us

Attend one of our upcoming events for admitted students. You can also take a virtual tour at www.cgu.edu/map.

Step 6: Confirm Your Housing Plans

Students can get information about on-campus housing at my.cgu.edu/housing.

The Claremont Colleges housing office can also provide information if you want to live off campus.

Step 7: Arrange Payments

Solidify payment arrangements with Student Accounts Office. Arrangements must be made to pay the remaining balance of your tuition and fees (less financial aid) prior to the tuition deadline.

Step 8: Confirm Your Health Insurance & Submit Your Medical History Report

All students at CGU are required to have health insurance. The university automatically enrolls students in the university’s health insurance plans. Students who carry their own insurance may waive out of the university’s insurance. Waivers are only available for 1) domestic and undocumented students who have comparable coverage; or 2) international students whose SEVIS record is not held by CGU. All students are required to submit CGU’s Medical History Report with proof of immunizations and vaccinations, including meeting CGU’s COVID-19 vaccine requirement. Visit Student Health Insurance for additional information.
