Beginning Aug. 16, all CGU community members must fill out the daily health symptom check form prior to coming to campus each day.
The campus visit request form and QR code scans at building entry/egress are no longer required.
Vaccine Requirement – Given the proven efficacy of U.S. COVID-19 vaccines, imminent full federal approval, and the proliferation of highly contagious variants, obtaining a vaccine or an approved exemption is now required and is a condition of employment. Please upload your vaccine card or submit an exemption request before returning to campus.
Testing – All non-vaccinated community members with approved exemptions who plan to return to campus will be tested for COVID-19 once or twice a week, depending upon how many days per week they are in the office. Individuals and their supervisor and/or area vice president will be notified as to how often they are required to test. Human Resources will share test results with the supervisor/area vice president. Testing will be done at Student Health Services. Individuals required to test will be provided with additional details. Non-vaccinated community members with COVID-19 symptoms should not test at the Student Health Services, and should instead contact their supervisor and obtain a test through their medical plan.
Masks – Masks are required to be worn by everyone indoors. Currently, there is no delineation between vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals. Masks must be worn properly, which is covering the nose and mouth. Masks may be removed briefly for eating/drinking. Please maintain physical distance when removing a mask. There are no exceptions or modifications permitted to the mask requirement in any CGU building, office area, or classroom environment.
Outdoor Activities – Unvaccinated individuals are required to wear a mask at outdoor events. While not required, vaccinated personnel are welcome to wear a mask while participating in outdoor CGU events. Please practice distancing at outdoor events.
Daily Form Submission – The campus visits request form and QR entry/egress monitoring into CGU buildings will be suspended on August 16. The daily health check symptom form must be filled out each day before coming to campus or entering a CGU building. If you feel any cold- or flu-like symptoms, do not come to campus. Instead, check in with your supervisor/area vice president.
Healthy Habits – Please maintain healthy habits that can help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and the highly contagious variants. Wash your hands often. Maintain physical distance when possible. Wear a mask.
Mindful Meetings – While there is no requirement for distancing indoors, be mindful of the number of people in meeting rooms. Continue using digital communication tools and take advantage of the enhanced wi-fi available around campus, including outdoor locations.
Campus Visitors – Visitors to campus must be vaccinated and will be asked to show their COVID vaccination card. In addition, all visitors should be asked to assess their health before a visit. Do not come to campus if you do not feel well or exhibit any cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms. All visitors must check-in at the Office of Admissions and Visitor Information to fill out a visitor form and receive a visitor badge. Check-in is required each day a visitor is on campus. Visitors must adhere to CGU policies, such as wearing a mask while indoors.
