CGU’s Covid-19 Response & Information For Returning to Campus
TCCS COVID-19 Testing
The Claremont Colleges will continue to monitor cases during the 2022-23 academic year. Your support in making healthy decisions is appreciated.
If you become ill and think you have contracted COVID-19, please get tested and remain off campus until you have a negative result.
If the test confirms you have contracted COVID, please report your status to Student Health Services and adhere to quarantine guidance: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/ncorona2019/covidisolation/?
We encourage you to go to your medical provider or to other locations (like pharmacies) for tests or vaccinations.
Some testing resources available at The Claremont Colleges this fall include saliva PCR testing vending machines that collect student samples for lab testing.
These vending machines are available on the campuses of the five undergraduate schools and at Student Health Services in the Tranquada Center, 757 N. College Way (diagonally southwest from Honnold Library).
Important note: These vending machines do not contain testing kits. This is not something that will give you a result in 15 minutes. Saliva samples are sent to a lab for analysis. Please be aware the response time with your results may be between 12 and 24 hours or longer.
Please also note that these vending machines are available to all students of The Claremont Colleges. Expect possible wait times.
Watch this video on how to use the vending machines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpi3ELxLG00
COVID-19 Testing Sites
- Making an appointment ahead of time is recommended, most locations allow appointments be made online.
- Many places allow walk-ins, but wait times can be long. We recommend calling the testing location prior to walking in.
- Some locations may require seeing a medical provider before a test is done and will not charge the patient for a consultation. Always confirm before going.
