Calendar & Timelines

Note:  The vast majority of studies submitted to the CGU IRB are not subject to the dates or deadlines below.

Nearly all submitted protocols are eligible for exempt or expedited procedures. These are handled by individual IRB analysts and/or IRB members and may thus be submitted at any time.  Investigators typically receive initial responses to these submissions in 1 – 5 business days.

Those rare applications that do not qualify for exempt or expedited procedures require review by the full board and are thus subject to the deadlines below. Board meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month at 8:30am. See the schedule below for meeting dates and submission deadlines for the respective meeting.  The Board’s written response will be conveyed within one week of the meeting at which the protocol was considered.
