Association of Interdisciplinary Research (AIR)
The Association of Interdisciplinary Research (AIR) is a student-run organization open to all students and community members regardless of year, program, and interests. Our aim is to provide opportunities for research collaboration across departments, programs, and expertise utilizing various methodologies. We host teach-in sessions throughout the semester from faculty members and scholars with expertise in diverse methodologies. We invite you to explore our Linktree, which hosts our workshop schedule for this semester, RSVP form, and all recordings and workshop materials via OneDrive.
For Spring 2026, our general meetings will be hybrid-flexible every Thursday from 12 to 1pm in ACB 208 and via Zoom. In addition, we host workshops at various dates and times. We recommend exploring our workshop schedule for this semester which will be routinely updated to reflect locations (i.e., room and Zoom link).

Upsilon Pi Epsilon
The mission of the Rho Chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) at Claremont Graduate University, Center for Information Systems and Technology (CISAT) exists to promote the computing and information disciplines and to encourage their contributions to the advancement of technical knowledge and innovation. Founded in 1967, UPE is the first and only international honor society for computing and information disciplines, recognized by ACM, Association for Computing Machinery, IEEE Computer Society, and the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). With over 150 institutions worldwide, UPE recognizes academic excellence and promotes the advancement of knowledge in computing.

Institute of Mathematical Sciences Organizations
Math Club
Math Club, hosted by CGU’s amiable Institute of Mathematical Sciences, serves as an excellent opportunity for anyone with even a vague interest in mathematics to congregate with the department in a friendly, stress-free environment and socialize over pizza and math-related activities, whether they be solving collaborative logic puzzles, sharing neat quantitative concepts on the ever-coveted whiteboard, or, my personal favorite, playing Uno with too many house rules. If this sounds like fun, you can contact me at ethan.schlegel@cgu.edu, and I will add you to the student list so you can receive weekly updates about the goings-on of the club. We meet on Fridays from 12:15 to 1:30 pm in the Math North building (1263 N. Dartmouth Avenue), and anyone is welcome to join us in the action even if you have to arrive late or leave early. SCGH Student Association
The SCGH Student Association (SCGH-SA) was created and recognized by the University as a formal student organization in 2009. The purpose of the organization is to build and enrich the student body, main program and surrounding communities through intellectual, cultural and social contributions of its diverse membership. All SCGH students are considered members of the Student Association to voluntarily participate in the discussions current needs of the student body, community service activities and student social events. The Student Association is governed by a constitution, a set of bylaws, and Board of Officers (known as the Board). The SCGH Assistant Director of Programs serves as the Student Association’s Advisor. The Board meets at most once a week or bi-weekly, and members of the Student Association (students) are invited to town-hall/open meetings at the discretion of the Board. The Board and Student Association members are invited to take part in SCGH Program Committees as Student Representative Members, to serve as the liaison between the student body and the committee(s).

Division of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences Organizations
Positive PsyDays
Positive PsyDays is a student-run organization striving to build community and share research knowledge from a positive psychological perspective among the master’s and doctoral graduate students in the Division of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences at Claremont Graduate University.
Positive PsyDays holds events several times throughout the academic year (about once a month). The events include (but are not limited to) a blend of formats, such as guest lectures, student presentations, Q&A panels, community-building activities, and volunteering opportunities with the Claremont community. Although most events and research topics have a focus on topics within the field of positive psychology, all concentrations are welcome!

Psi Chi, International Honors Society in Psychology
Psi Chi hosts a lot of the social and academic events in DBOS. Think DBOS Thanksgiving, research lunch workshops, the 7Cs Psychology Conference… Joining Psi Chi a nice way to be involved with DBOS social life and networking!
There are also opportunities reserved for Psi Chi members to present research at different conferences (WPA, APA…) or apply for research grants and awards. It’s a good résumé/CV booster and helps with networking for psychology-related jobs with 900,000+ members nationwide! Albert Bandura and BF Skinner were among the many illustrious members of Psi Chi.
A Psi Chi membership costs $55 for a lifetime membership. If you joined your undergraduate chapter, we can transfer your membership over for no cost.
