In 2015, the United Nations adopted a set of goals to mobilize efforts to end poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change. Achieving these goals requires transforming policies, innovating approaches, and collaborating across boundaries. As of July, 2017, the United States was ranked 25th globally for the progress it has made toward meeting these goals.1

Among many pathways towards success, higher education institutions will be key players for meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Please join us for a talk on higher education and sustainable development led by Matthias Klettermayer, the UN Public Information Officer and focal point for communication and outreach in the UN’s Division of Sustainable Development.
