Art Loft Films is a student-run organization that will enhance the culture of the 7C community by offering a free “art movie” night to all students. They do pop-up screenings around the campus and offer free popcorn and refreshments. This organization promotes artists-driven content in films to add aspiration and education to the creative community and aspiring filmmakers, artists and art enthusiasts.

Reina Alvarez, the club leader and founder, started the club based on the importance of community and an outlet for the stress graduate students go through. For Reina, enjoying art, films and food is a way to take back some time for well-being and self-care.

“I didn’t grow up watching films in isolation, it was in the movie theatres having a shared experience which is why I wanted to bring this unique experience to the Claremont Colleges campus. ”
