January Mentorship Spotlight: Maritza Cha
Maritza Cha currently works for Alhambra Unified School District as a school counselor and is working towards her PhD at Claremont Graduate University in Education/Urban Leadership.
I believe peer mentoring is important because as a student you need that go to person when you are in doubt. You create a friendship that will help guide you and answer any questions in your journey.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. As a first-generation student, I had to overcome the fear of attending office hours. Remember, your professors are there to help you.
