Meet Alaa Alharthi, she is a PhD in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) student and also received her master’s in data science from CGU in 2021. She works with the Office of IT department and is also a TA for classes in the CISAT Department. Alaa is passionate about connecting with people from all walks of life and learning about their unique perspectives. She is also the current president of the CGU Hiking Association and enjoys being in nature and visiting new places in the area.

Alaa completed her bachelor’s in information systems in Saudi Arabia and then went to Australia to pursue a master’s degree in the same field. Afterwards, she returned home to teach at the Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University in Riyadh.
