This month’s student spotlight is Veronika Ivanova, who is a Fulbright scholar from Russia. She is a second-year student in a master’s program in Organizational Behavior & Evaluation. Veronika also holds an MS from University of Pittsburgh in Rehabilitation Sciences. Her successfully defended scholarly paper on utilization of rehabilitation services by immigrants from Eastern Europe served as a theoretical basis for the project between the U.S. State Department and American universities (with taught rehabilitation graduate programs) that looked into how cultural specifics affected rehabilitation of the members of that population.
Prior to CGU, Veronika worked at The Walt Disney Company as the Diversity & Inclusion Leader. She is proud that in that role she was able to create a more inclusive environment for employees and customers with disabilities. “My goal is to learn how to cause changes in organizations-involving leaders, managers, employees- to create a psychological safe environment where everyone is included, treated equally and has a feeling of true belonging”.
