With over 20 years of professional experience in higher education, Quamina Carter serves as Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students. She is responsible for the administration and management of the Office of Student Life, Diversity and Leadership, International Student Services, and Office of Disability Services. She serves as an advocate for student success by fostering student, faculty, and staff interaction that promotes a climate of academic, personal, and professional development. Our office is committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and contributing to a sustainable community of healthy engagement at CGU, The Claremont Colleges, local and global community.

Annie Knox

With professional experience as both a practicing attorney and a tenured professor in educational law and leadership, Annie Knox serves as the Associate Dean of Students and Title IX Coordinator. She is responsible for the Office of Disability Services, Title IX, student conduct, and Clery Reporting. While much of her work includes issues of compliance and adherence to policy, her work is driven by a commitment to student success. With a focus on self-reflective and equity-based leadership, Dr. Knox centers the Dean of Students Office commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and wellness in her work with students.

Tina Johnson brings a diverse background in customer service, nonprofit management, and health insurance administration to her role as Student Services Coordinator. She is the first point of contact for the Dean of Students office and coordinates the calendars, budgets, and communications for the Student Affairs division. Tina is also a student in Claremont Graduate University’s School of Educational Studies pursuing a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs/Educational Justice. Her academic and practical education come together to serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable presence in the Dean of Students office.
