Who can use the DLL services?
Any CGU student, faculty, or staff member. Alumni are also welcome.

Do I need to pay something for this service?
No, DLL services are free.

Where are you located?
DLL workshops generally are in the Academic Computing Building (ACB); DLL offices are on the third floor.

What are your working hours?
Our working hours are based on the DLL Fellows’ availability.

Does CGU offer access to the programs being used in the workshops?

While DLL offers many workshops to assist you in learning different tech tools and programs, we do not guarantee that you can access all of them through CGU. Please use this link to check which programs/ tools we can provide: my.cgu.edu/it/academic-support/software-applications

What is the best way to contact the DLL?
Since the DLL is not staffed at all times, we do not list a phone number. The best way to contact the DLL is via email: digital.learning@cgu.edu

Appointments

Is DLL currently holding one-on-one appointments?

Yes, DLL is offering individual appointments at this time with specialized fellows of multiple fields. Please check under our “Tutoring Services” link on the home page under Quick Links. Tutoring appointments are to be made between the DLL Fellow and the student.

Scope of Service

Can you help me with my homework/project?
No, we do not offer tutoring services. We can only teach you how to use a certain technology.

Can you format my dissertation?
No. We can show you how to use Microsoft Word to format the document yourself but we cannot do your work for you. You can visit the Registrar’s website for formatting requirements and pagination.

Can you create a website or e-portfolio for me?
No. We can teach you how to use specific software tools and create a website yourself, but we cannot do the work for you. We would be happy to meet with you multiple times to coach you through the different aspects of building a website or e-portfolio.

I have a problem with my computer. Can you fix it?
No, we are not IT helpdesk and do not provide tech support. Please contact your device manufacturer for assistance.

I have a problem logging into the lab computers and I need to reset my password. Can you help me?
No. You need to contact CGU IT helpdesk for assistance with such problems.

Software Tools and Workshops

I need help with a program that is not on your list. What should I do?
You can send us an email or complete our survey on the homepage to request assistance with that program. We will do our best to help you. We constantly expand the list of offered programs, so your feedback is very important to us.

I have ideas about a new workshop. Are you interested?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to share your ideas and collaborate with us on developing new workshops. Just send us an email or complete our survey and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible
