AFCEA, STEM Teacher Graduate Scholarships (April 15 Deadline)
The AFCEA Educational Foundation is offering competitive based scholarships of $2,500 each to students actively pursuing a graduate degree or credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM subjects at a U.S. school in grades K-12. Graduate-level candidates must take at least two semester-equivalent classes at an accredited U.S. college or university at the time of application. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. American Psychological Foundation, Kenneth B. and Mamie P. Clark Grant (June 19 Deadline)
The Kenneth B. and Mamie P. Clark Grant awards $9,000 to support research and demonstration activities that promote the understanding of the relationship between self-identity and academic achievement with an emphasis on children in grade levels K–8. This grant alternates every other year between an early career psychologist and a graduate student – in 2024, this grant is available to graduate students. Cathy Hopper Memorial Scholarship (May 17 Deadline)
Cathy Hopper Memorial Scholarship awards an average of $5,000 to current college/university students pursuing teaching credential and/or student teaching at a university in California with the goal of a career as a K-12 public school teacher in California. Applicants must have resided in San Diego County for at least one year and have graduated from a public high school in San Diego County. International Education Research Foundation (IERF), The Sepmeyer Research Grant Program (February 15 & August 15 Deadlines)
IERF awards up to $1,000 for research projects to inform world educational systems and to facilitate the integration of individuals educated outside the United States into the U.S. educational environment and workforce. Each research grant proposal is evaluated on how well its project design and expected outcomes address the following criteria: supporting research for the evaluation of foreign academic credentials, promoting the integration of students, scholars and professionals holding non-US academic credentials into the United States, facilitating the publication and dissemination of the results of the research, and encouraging the exchange of information about the structure of educational systems and their corresponding credentials. James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation, Graduate Fellowships (March 8 Deadline)
The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation offers $24,000 to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level. Fellowship applicants compete only against other applicants from the states of their legal residence. As funding permits, the Foundation plans to offer one fellowship per state per year. After receiving the master’s degree, each Fellow must teach American history, American government, or civics in grades 7-12 for one full year for each academic year of funding received under a fellowship, preferably in the state from which the recipient won the fellowship. New England Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP), Enrollment Management Graduate Education Research Grant (March 15 Deadline)
NAGAP provides grants for areas of research specific to graduate education and the field of graduate enrollment management (GEM). Research topics include (but are not limited to) alumni outreach, student retention, campus support services, underrepresented student experiences, diversity and inclusion, faculty advising, technology, leadership, financial aid, internationalization, holistic admissions, recruitment, etc. Grant recipients will receive either $1,000 or $2,500, depending on the type of grant, along with other benefits. The Organization for Autism Research, Graduate Research Grant (February Deadline)
The Organization for Autism Research offers a grant award of $1,000 for students conducting autism research as a requirement in pursuit of a master’s degree and $2,000 for students who are doctoral candidates or post-doctoral students. International students and students outside the U.S. are eligible to apply. Studies that will likely produce practical and clearly objective results that may aid parents, families, professionals, and people with autism to make more fully informed choices that will lead to healthier and happier lives are encouraged to apply. Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) International Scholarship Program (April 2 Deadline) The PDK International Scholarship Program awards $500 to $4,000 to students pursuing a public education career and enrolled in a higher education institution. Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant (Rolling Basis; Through Financial Aid Office)
The TEACH Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who are completing or plan to complete coursework needed to begin a career in teaching. As a condition for receiving a TEACH Grant, you must sign a TEACH Grant Agreement to serve in a high-need field or an elementary school or secondary school that serves low-income families for four complete academic years.
