American College of Healthcare Executives, Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship (March 31 Deadline)
Offered annually, the Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship is designated for racially/ethnically diverse, as well as LGBTQ+, full-time students enrolled in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program (MHA, MPH, MBA in Healthcare Administration or similar) Each scholarship is worth $5,000. Association of Schools & Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) Fellowships (Check Deadline)
ASPPH fellowship and internship programs offer opportunities for current masters and doctoral level students and recent graduates to round out academic training and gain hands-on public health experience while continuing to develop professional skills and expertise in public health. ASPPH works with practice partners locally and nationally to prepare the future public health workforce through mentored, practical training experiences. Brady Education Foundation (Rolling Applications)
The Foundation funds research projects that have the potential to provide data that will inform how to address disparities in educational opportunities associated with race, ethnicity, and family income for children from birth through age 18. CDC Evaluation Fellowship Program (February Deadline)
The CDC Evaluation Fellowship Program is a two-year fellowship that works to make program evaluation more useful and impactful. The Evaluation Fellowship offers a unique training opportunity including professional development funds provided by the host program. Fellows learn evaluation skills while working in their host program to build, expand, and/or improve evaluation activities. Fellows are doctoral or master’s degree professionals with backgrounds in evaluation, behavioral and social sciences, public health, and other relevant disciplines. Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC), Graduate Scholarship Program (May 31 Deadline) Communities Lifting Communities (CLC) and the Hospital Association of Southern California offer fellowship opportunities for students pursuing a graduate degree in health care at an accredited California college, university or online degree institution. Recipients receive a $3,000 award to assist with tuition and school expenses for one academic year, sent directly to the educational institution. Students earning healthcare administration degrees are preferred, but many graduate programs are eligible. Applicants must be employed by a HASC member hospital for at least one year/12 months and enrolled in an approved training program for at least one full semester or quarter. The Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellowship (for 2025-2027 class, October 1, 2024, Deadline) The Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellows Program is a unique two-year international fellowship administered by the Congressional Hunger Center (CHC). Its mission is to develop leaders committed to finding lasting solutions to hunger and poverty worldwide through both direct programming and good policies. Leland Fellows are given the opportunity to develop new skills while actively working to alleviate hunger and poverty. During each two-year fellowship cycle, 12-15 Leland Fellows are placed with international development organizations that include international and local NGOs, U.S. government agencies and multilateral organizations. Fellows work on a variety of food security issues, such as agricultural development, nutrition, natural resource management, agribusiness development and women’s empowerment. Randall Lewis Health & Policy Fellowship (July 15 Deadline)
The Randall Lewis Health & Policy Fellowship is a prestigious and competitive fellowship for master and doctoral level students interested in health policy and related disciplines. The fellowship is an 8-month (400-hour) commitment beginning in September through May. A stipend is paid to the fellows upon completion of hours, projects, and final deliverables. The fellowship aims to develop professionals in public health, health administration, policy, urban planning, and data analysis to influence positive change in local communities. Salvadoran American Leadership & Educational Fund (SALEF), Fulfilling Our Dreams Scholarship (June Deadline) SALEF’s Fulfilling Our Dreams Scholarship Fund offers financial assistance and support to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students pursuing health-related degrees and/or careers. Scholarships are open to all qualifying students regardless of immigration status. Applicants must reside in the Los Angeles area. Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), Scholarship in Sexuality Research Grants Program (March 31 Deadline) SMSNA’s Scholars in Sexuality Research Grants Program supports junior investigators conducting research into human sexuality and sexual wellness. Applications will be accepted from graduate or medical students, residents in graduate medical education training programs, and post-doctoral/post-residency fellows. Grants are $5,000 for Undergraduate/Medical/Graduate School students and $7,500 for Resident or Post-Doctoral/Fellows will be awarded. Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), Vivian Drenckhahn Student Scholarship (February 16 Deadline)
This $2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to three deserving full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are national SOPHE members and who have excelled academically, demonstrated a commitment to addressing the public’s health through a career in health education. Students applying for this award must currently be pursuing a health education degree (e.g., health education, community health education, public health education, school health education), and must have completed at least one-third of the coursework required for their degree. Each year the makers of TYLENOL® award annual scholarships to well deserving students pursuing careers in healthcare.
