Rachel Camacho

Rachel Camacho (she/her/hers) is the inaugural director of student engagement at Claremont Graduate University. As director, she manages the student engagement team in the Office of Enrollment Services. In addition, she focuses on providing an exceptional student experience across the graduate student life cycle, with a particular emphasis on enrollment, retention, and persistence toward graduation. Prior to this position, Ms. Camacho served as the associate director of admissions at CGU.

Prior to her time at CGU, she was an applied researcher and evaluator working wit h communities, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and educational institutions throughout the Bay Area to increase their capacity to use data to inform public policy, and create opportunities for children, youth, and families to thrive and prosper. She previously served as director of the Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search Programs at California State University, Fullerton.

Rachel holds a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from Claremont Graduate University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Pitzer College.
