In alignment with Claremont Graduate University’s Diversity Pledge, the Graduate Student Council (GSC) reaffirms and echoes CGU’s commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion, access and justice (DEIAJ). The GSC strives to be a diverse, accessible and inclusive student organization that champions equity and justice in its programs, projects, processes and policies. We aim to advance these values for the welfare and academic, professional and interpersonal betterment of CGU’s diverse communities.
To exemplify this further, the GSC has developed an Equity Lens in order to interweave DEIAJ values within the GSC decision-making process. This will cause us to be more intentional and proactive in making equity-minded decisions during the current school term and beyond.
