Fireside Chat with Dr. Clark Rucker
The Graduate Student Council is partnering with the CGU Alumni Association to bring alumni back to Claremont to share their wisdom with the CGU community.
The purpose of this event is to learn from Dr. Clark Rucker to help advance your professional development. Participate in an interactive conversation with Dr. Clark Rucker and fellow peers and learn about their life lessons and how that can advance your personal career journey. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights about their own potential career paths while building their professional networks. This event will be held at the Drucker Institute on Thursday, 11/16, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

Fireside Chat with Dr. Clark Rucker
Our inaugural CGU Alumni Fireside Chat will be with Dr. Maria Morales, on Thursday, October 19 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in Claremont Colleges Library Founders Room. The purpose of this event is to provide a firsthand account of Dr. Maria Morales’s professional development, from their time at CGU to their current role as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant at MIM Consulting. In conversation with the GSC, Dr. Maria Morales will speak about starting her own consulting firm and her approach to centering compassion, empathy, and human connections in her DEI career and practice. From Dr. Maria Morales’s wisdom, attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights about their own potential career paths while building their professional networks.
Ignite the Light
Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 5pm PT
The 23-24 Graduate Student Council would like to invite you to the IGNITE THE LIGHT, GSC’s annual fall semester event to kick off the year and wish students a successful academic journey ahead. Ignite the Light will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, beginning at 5:00 P.M. PST. This event will take place in person at the DesCombes Quad. We’ll have an In N Out foodtruck, a DJ, games, and drinks! President Len Jessup will be in attendance to give remarks and welcome the new GSC Executive Board for the 2023/2024 session.
