Each Academic year, the Transdisciplinary Studies Program at CGU hosts yearlong, themed research initiatives addressing transdisciplinary topics. For the 2016 – 2017 academic year, the Transdisciplinary Studies Program’s initiative centered on Leadership Outside the Lines.

The idea behind this theme is that infrastructures facilitate the process of change; but what happens in situations in which no such frame of reference exists? When becoming a leader, how does one’s perspective evolve? In uncharted territory, what signs will support a leader to forge ahead, and where should a leader place new signposts for others to follow? How do leaders create sustainable change?
