The CWR commits to challenging how homophobia and transphobia are often embedded in academic writing and scholarship. The CWR works to center the voices and needs of CGU’s LGBTQIA+ community through:
- The Anti-Discrimination Committee
- Staff & consultant training
- Retreats for LGBTQ+ students
- Peer review groups
- Collaboration with the Queer Resource Center.
During Summer 2021 the CWR also amended registration forms to include a designated area for students to include their name and pronouns. In this way, the CWR works to celebrate and affirm students of all gender identities and sexualities.
