BLAIS Tandem Program – Summer 2026

July 2026, Tuesday 14 to Friday 17, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

To accommodate personal and caregiving responsibilities, our soft start begins at 9:00 AM. Coffee will be served to allow time to settle in, check emails, and connect. Our first formal group activity begins at 10:00 AM.

“I highly recommend for professors to be a part of the BLAIS Tandem Program. I got paired with a CGU graduate student who contributed greatly to how I developed a course as well as reconsider many policies in my classes. An excellent experience.”

Welcome, 5C Faculty and CGU Scholars! The Center for Academic & Faculty Excellence (CAFE) invites you to participate in the 2026 BLAIS Tandem Program. APPLICATIONS OPEN: March 9, 2026

About the BLAIS Tandem Program

Explore our innovative approach to inclusive teaching and learning at the Claremont Colleges. The BLAIS Tandem Program pairs CGU scholars with 5C faculty to collaboratively redesign courses through equity-minded design and inclusive practices. The program includes participation in the Summer Course Redesign Institute and is supported by stipends through BLAIS funding.

CGU Tandem scholars are students who have completed or are enrolled in the Inclusive Excellence in College Teaching Certificate. Tandem work allows scholars to apply their training in practice while contributing to meaningful course transformation.
