Welcome

Congratulations on your admission to CGU! On this page you will find information relevant to enroll as a new international student at CGU. Please take the time out to review the information provided in the Quick Links section in the navigation bar. Below, you will find four sections: next steps for admitted students; the I-20/ F-1 Visa process; information on the student orientations; as well check-in procedures. If you are interested in applying for a J-1 visa and need a DS-2019 Form, please refer to the J-1 Visa section in the menu bar.

If you plan to attend CGU but have a different immigration status or visa type (i.e. L-2 visa, H1-B visa, etc) other than a student (F-1) or exchange visitor (J-1) visa, please email a copy of your passport and visa page to the International Services staff. If you are applying (or have applied) for permanent residency and have a pending application, please notify the International Services staff of your application status. Please note: CGU does not base admission or enrollment on a student’s citizenship or immigration status. However, it is important to know the federal regulations that apply for your situation.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your International Services staff at international@cgu.edu.

Next Steps for Admitted Students

Students who plan to apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa should review the Department of Homeland Security’s How to Navigate the US Immigration System. This website covers the steps necessary to receive your immigration documents from CGU, the visa application and fees, and travel into the United States.
