Phishing Attack: “Subject: FW:ATTENTION REQUIRED Claremont Graduate University Revised Business Development…”

A phishing e-mail may have been sent to your account this afternoon which would have appeared to be sent from the Office of the President with the subject, FW:[ATTENTION REQUIRED] Claremont Graduate University Revised Business Development, Implementation, and Review of Guidelines and Goals. Please do not click on the attachment in the message or reply to the message with any account or personal information. If by chance you have clicked on the link or provided any information, please change your password immediately. If you need assistance changing your password, contact the Help Desk at 909-621-8174, or email help.desk@cgu.edu.

This is a widespread spear phishing attack that many universities have recently experienced. It uses a very similar verbiage and is written as if it is coming from the President of the university.
