SERVICE DESCRIPTION USER GROUP
Help Desk OIT provides 24×7 assistance for technology related issues. Students, Faculty Staff
Email OIT provides the Microsoft Exchange email system for faculty, staff and students to support academic and personal communication requirements. The standard format for a CGU email address is “first.last@cgu.edu”. Students, Faculty, Staff
Alumni Email All CGU alumni who graduated in or after 2016 retain access to their cgu.edu email addresses after graduation, making it easy to stay connected with faculty, staff, and fellow alumni and enhance your networking opportunities. While we are unfortunately unable to offer the full Microsoft Office license for all alumni, you can still access your CGU email on Outlook on the Web.

If you graduated prior to 2016 and you would like access to your alumni.cgu.edu account, please contact alumni@cgu.edu or call 909-607-9226.

Wireless Connectivity OIT provides wireless networking for those who wish to use their laptops while on campus.  Note: If you are having problems connecting to the wireless network in the Library, please contact the Library staff for assistance. Students, Faculty, Staff
Office 365 and Sharepoint This gateway allows students, staff and faculty collaborate and communicate data and documents through online communities, email and other web-based tools through Microsoft’s environment Students
Computer Labs OIT maintains several computer labs for students, faculty, and staff. Students, Faculty Staff
Collaborative Technology Rooms These ACB rooms provide space for group work that requires the use of technology.  Students who wish to reserve a room should contact the Student Lab Attendant in ACB 118.  Faculty and Staff can reserve rooms by emailing cgu.learning@cgu.edu. Students, Faculty Staff
Digital Learning Lab (DLL) The DLL is a collaboration between the Student Success Center and the Office of Information Technology that offers learning opportunities to help you understand and master technology tools that will support the work you do and develop your academic and professional knowledge and skills. Similar to the Writing Center, the DLL offers workshops and one to one consulting appointments. Students, Faculty Staff
Canvas Canvas is CGU’s learning management system. It provides web space for faculty to distribute class resources, conduct online class activities, and facilitate collaboration. Students, Faculty Staff
Smart Classrooms All CGU classrooms are equipped with instructional technology to support faculty’s teaching and learning activities. Faculty Staff
Equipment Check Out OIT provides some mobile equipment for faculty, staff and students to check out. Such equipment includes laptops, projectors and video adapters.  Please email av@cgu.edu for more information, reservations, and availability. Faculty, Staff, students

PeopleSoft This gateway allows students to maintain their contact information, register for classes, view unofficial transcripts, and pay tuition bills, and staff and faculty to view student activity relevant to their respective work roles Students, Faculty, Staff
Workday This gateway allows employees of the university (full time and and part time staff and faculty, student workers, and contractors) to maintain their contact information, update their benefits, enter paid time off, and managers to manage their employee activity Students, Faculty, Staff
