Web Address for Logging into CGU’s Canvas:

• Users with a CGU user name:
  • go to your CGU portal at my.cgu.edu
    OR
  • go directly to the website at cgu.instructure.com
• Users with a guest CGU Canvas account: cgu.instructure.com/login/canvas
  • your guest account’s user name is an email address you provided
  • if you copy or type in the web address, please be sure to type or copy the ENTIRE web address

Canvas course sites are pre-loaded with CGU branding, essential links and resources for students, and consistent navigational features. Students and instructors can expect:

• Digital Syllabus space
• Digital gradebook
• Options for digital assignments
• Options for digital discussions
• Options for digital quizzes
• Navigation bar for Calendar tools, Inbox/messaging tools, and Help features
• Navigation menu with links to university information and resources as well as course elements

In addition, special templates can be applied to provide faculty with a jump-start on course building in Canvas and provide students with a consistent, predictable experience across CGU’s digital campus. All templates have been created and are managed by the CGU Digital Learning team at the request of academic units implement faculty vision using current technology. Online courses offered in accredited online programs at CGU are built from core curriculum developed by faculty subject matter experts alongside experienced design and technology practitioners.
